This statement applies to the website www.babybay.de.
As a provider, we are subject to the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), which comes into force on June 28, 2025. The basis for the accessible design of our digital offerings is the European standard EN301549, in particular the specifications of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformity level AA.
Status of compliance with requirements
This website is partially accessible.
The requirements of WCAG 2.1 (AA) are largely met. The assessment is based on an internal review (as of May 2025).
Areas that are already accessible:
- Keyboard access for navigation and product overview
- Alternative text for images
- Structured headings and semantic HTML
- Contrast in the navigation and product areas
- Scalability on mobile devices
Non-accessible content (selection):
- Incomplete ARIA labels in configuration widgets
- Limited keyboard focus visibility for certain form fields
- Placeholder text with insufficient contrast (e.g., in the newsletter field)
- Some PDF documents are not accessible.
- Some images do not yet have meaningful alternative text.
- Keyboard usability is still limited in certain areas.
- Videos do not currently have subtitles or transcripts.
