FAQ

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about your babybay

What is your delivery time for your products?

Our Premium and Select partners have babybay in stock. Otherwise we deliver within 48 hours from order, if available from stock.

What is the price of your products?

Please contact your local specialist dealer, who will be happy to advise you individually and give you the prices.

Where can I order spare parts for my babybay?

You can order spare parts for your babybay in our spare parts shop or from your specialist dealer. Our customer advisors will be happy to send you an offer. Defective parts will of course be replaced free of charge within the warranty period.

How long does the babybay warranty last?

Of course, all babybay articles have a warranty of two years from the date of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, our service portal is at your disposal.

When do I need an extension page?

The mounting brackets of the babybays are designed for a bed frame width of up to 9 cm. However, we recommend using the babybay extension side from a frame width of 4 cm. This bridges a bed frame of up to 15 cm. Included in the delivery is a mattress supplement that closes the gap between babybay and parents' bed.

Up to what age can I use babybay?

We recommend babybay original up to 9 months, babybay maxi up to 12 months. Of course, the period of use varies from child to child. With the cot extension for the babybay original, babybay accompanies you up to 7 years.

Can I attach the babybay to a waterbed?

babybay can easily be attached to waterbeds with bed frames. For waterbeds without a frame, we recommend that you place the babybay next to the parent's bed with a grille and castors.

Where can I get the assembly instructions for my babybay from?

You can download the assembly instructions as a PDF file here under "Product support".

How do I care for babybay?

Wiping with a slightly damp cloth is sufficient. For hygienic reasons, we recommend that you turn the mattress over and ventilate it regularly. Please follow the washing instructions for all fabric items.

Where do the small holes in the individual parts come from?

The individual parts are hung up during the production for varnishing, thereby the small holes develop and it can happen that around these holes the varnishing is somewhat worse. Since these are however on the underside of the parts, these holes are no longer visible after the assembly.

Why are there small holes in the babybay frame?

The small holes on the inside or outside of parts A, B and C are caused by necessary safety bolts. These are present in all babybay models and prescribed by the TÜV. The bolts, which are not visible in every case, serve the safety of your child.

Can I sit on babybay as an adult if it is used as a bank?

babybay has been TÜV/GS tested for a load capacity of 50 kg. During internal tests, a load of over 100 kg was possible.

Is the surface treatment of your models toxic or do they emit harmful substances?

The paint used meets the strict requirements of the European safety standard DIN EN 71 Part 3 (Safety of children's toys). This means that the surfaces are harmless to health, even if your child sucks or bites on them. All our fabrics comply with the ÖkoTex-Standard 100 Class I (articles for babies and small children).

How high is the closure grille of the babybay Comfort / Boxspring Comfort and can my baby fall out?

The maximum possible grille height measured from the mattress surface to the top edge of the grille is 32 cm. This varies depending on the height adjustment of the base plate you have chosen and the position you have hooked in.

Who should I contact regarding a complaint?

If you have a reason for complaint - which we would very much regret - there is a service card in the fitting bag of your babybays on which all further steps are described. Please send it to us by post, fax or e-mail. It is even easier and quicker if you send us your complaint online at https://support.babybay.de/.

Why can there be differences in the colour of core beech oiled?

Beech wood is a natural product, it is individual and unique in its colour and structure. Especially core beech is characterized by its special structure, stone inclusions, different light and dark colours and its rustic look. Therefore, even within one product, differences in colour can occur.

What is the TOG value and what is the right value for my baby?

The TOG value indicates the thermal resistance of textiles. It indicates how warm it is in a sleeping bag, for example. The TOG takes values from 0.5 to 3.5. The thickness of the sleeping bag and your baby's clothes should be adjusted to the temperature of the room where the baby sleeps and not to the season. The TOG value helps here. In the following overview you can see which sleeping bag or carrynest you should use with which clothes.

These are only approximate values. To determine if the combination of clothes and sleeping bag really fits, feel your baby's neck. The neck should be warm, but not sweaty or damp. If the neck is damp, your baby is too warm and you should adjust the clothing and sleeping bag.
